“I had to re-home a beloved dog recently. My partner and I were heartbroken to have to do it. After grieving for a year I was introduced to Ida, and asked her to create a portrait of Gigi. The portrait perfectly captured Gigi's soul. When we saw it we burst into tears. The portrait has now become a treasured part of our family. I love how art creates emotion, over and over!”

“We had two portraits done by Ida and both are on this site. We could not have been more pleased by her work. Ida does not just do a portrait, a picture, but she captured the very souls of our dogs. To look at one of her portraits is to see that in truth the eyes are the windows of the soul. We cannot praise her work too much.”

“If you are at all on the fence about having Ida create a portrait of your furry family member, especially if that family member has passed, do it!!! Ida, in my mind, is a miracle worker. I lost my sweet Sydney on January 2, 2020. The last image I had in my mind, that I could not shake, was the look Sydney gave me when I walked in the door after a day of chemotherapy. She had slipped on the hardwood floor and was unable to get her footing to stand back up. She must have been that way for hours. The look she gave me was one of desperation and sorrow. She was telling me, at 15 1/2 years old, that it was time to let her go. It is an image I'd been unable to shake... despite having numerous photos of all our adventures together. But Ida changed all that. I provided a few of my favorite photos of Sydney and shared some stories of our adventures. This gave Ida a sense of who Sydney was and I will tell you, it was like she'd always known her. It is so completely obvious that Ida pours all of her heart into her work. It is true... a photorealistic portrait looks so amazing, one could mistake it for a photograph. But Ida does what no camera could ever do. A camera brings back memories through the photos, but Ida brings back life into her subjects. The love and care she puts into the work is evident, especially in the eyes! I have years worth of photos of Sydney, but none were able to erase that last memory from my mind. The moment the portrait of Sydney arrived, that all changed. Now I have this beautiful, life-like portrait of my sweet girl and when I close my eyes and think of her, the portrait is what I see. I will never be able to thank Ida enough for this gift... this miracle.”

“I have Ollie’s portrait up and am drawn to look at it frequently. I love it more and more, because you have captured

his essence so well. Because he is such an anxious dog most people can’t see that in him. I love his sweetness

and his amazing considerate nature and sensitivity - and I see that in his portrait. You succeeded in expressing that

so delicately. Ida, your talent and perceptions are amazing.

Now I’ll have your portrait to remind me of what a dear soul Ollie is forever.”
